HOW DO WE ASSESS
COMPANIES?
In the 2024 edition of the Asia Cage-Free Tracker, Sinergia Animal surveyed 78 companies to gather information on their progress. For companies with global policies, we asked them to report numbers specifically in Asia.
THERE ARE 2 MAIN GOALS
Transparency
Highlighting the importance of reporting, even for companies that haven’t yet started the transition.
Progress
Encouraging companies to invest in the transition once they publish their policy.
Timeframe
The report features companies that announced a cage-free policy prior to 2023 and operated in at least one of the five countries assessed: Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, and Japan. This assessment did not include companies that achieved a 100% transition to cage-free before 2021.
Please note that this ranking reflects the period during which companies reported their progress. Any updates published by companies after June 30, 2024, may not be reflected in this ranking. For the most up-to-date information, please refer to the latest publications and announcements of the respective companies.
